Today, I submitted one of my songs to a contest, wanting to share my music. I doubt I will win, but I had fun making the song and I would appreciate if people would enjoy it. Even so, it took me a while to choose a song since I had several that I wanted to share and it took me a while to choose one. Besides that, I relaxed for most of the period, listening to music in YouTube. Nevertheless, I did just start a new song and I can’t wait to see where I will go with it on Tuesday.

Today, I finally did my podcast and it took most of the period. Apparently, the podcast was just talking with some of my classmates while being recorded doing so. While it took a while to set up, it was really fun doing it. We hardly talked about music though, since we also mostly talked about movies, actors, and amusement parks. When I was done, I had a bit of time, just enough to basically almost finish my song, which I’m going to present to my teacher next period. Overall, today was a fun day in class and I hope I get to do another podcast sometime soon.

Today I had planned to make a new song and do my podcast. However, the teacher stated that we should download our song into a website and to share it with him. I honestly thought it would be quick and easy, but it took me a while to log in to the website, plus downloading the App of said website. After that, it took a long time to download all of my songs and I didn’t even finish. Before I knew it, class ended with me not making a new song.

Today, class started a bit serious as my teacher was discussing about how my class should work since we need to prepare for the future. However, he was immediately annoyed, rightfully so, by a classmate of mine that was being disrespectful towards him. After that tense moment, I focused on creating a new song with my sample and I actually finished early. Once I showed it to my teacher, I watched a bit of YouTube and I also worked a bit on my homework. Also, I talked to my teacher about the broadcast thing that I will finally do next Tuesday.

I didn’t share my song with my teacher in the previous class and I was planning on showing it to him as soon as possible. However, the teacher was busy so I just started downloading a new song onto the computer to create a new sample for a new song. Eventually, the teacher heard the song but he recommended that I only used the intro since the rest felt out of sync for him. So, I worked with that for a bit and just when I finished, class ended. Now, I plan to show my final project to my teacher next class.

Today, my assignment was to figure out what type of genre I have working with this whole time. I had a hard time figuring it out until I realized that I have been experimenting with different genres at once to make something unique and to not be defined to one thing. For the rest of the class, I tried to use all of the many instrumental parts of the sample of song to create new music. It took a while, but I finally figured out how to make it all work together while editing the sample’s tone. I also added new instruments, just two, and while I haven’t shown it to the teacher yet, I will next class.

Today, I started working on another song with a new sample. I already had a sample in mind but it took me three tries to finally download the sample into the computer. After that I started experimenting with the sample to create my song and it was a bit hard. Luckily, I finished before class ended but I couldn’t show it to the teacher since he was occupied. So, I just watched YouTube in the end of class to occupy my time.

Today, I didn’t have any definite goal in mind for class, so at the beginning of class I just listened to music. After spacing out for a bit, I decided to sample another song and make music from it. Since I started working on it in basically the middle of class, I barely finished before class ended. Still, I believe I picked a challenging song and I was able to work around it, something I’m proud of. Either way, at the end of class, I logged out of the computer and put on my headphones to listen to music while I waited for class to end.

Today, I didn’t have anything assigned to me except to make a new song. However, I noticed I previous assignment was to use a sample of a song, that I didn’t have access to, to create a new song. So, I used a sample of another song, Pools by Glass Animals, to compose my new song. I had trouble downloading the song into the computer but after I was done, it took a while to decide which part of the song I wanted to sample. I eventually settled on a part and I worked from there as I barely finished before class ended.

Today, I finally finished my BandLab assignment that I started on Tuesday. I added a new instrument and more sounds, along with modifying them. Besides that, I cut off some parts that I believed were messing up with the beat. Honestly, I was surprised on how long it took me, but I’m satisfied with the result. Still, for next class, I plan to finish my next assignment as fast as possible.
