Today I learned about the tragedy of Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival. I was shocked and terrified of the many injures and the deaths that occurred in the concert. I mean, people near my age have died there and if I went there, I could have also died. But what shocks me the most is that a 9-year-old boy, Ezra Blount, died in the concert that he was so excited for by seeing one of his favorite musical producers while spending time with his dad. This is a young boy who had a whole life in front of him and it was taken from him so swiftly and suddenly it’s terrifying.

For class, I had to write my opinion about the situation that would fill one page. Well, this event upsets me so much that I exceed the requirements. I mean, the limit for the concert was meant for 20,000 people but there were 50,000 people in the concert instead. No wonder people were so compressed that they had trouble breathing! If there weren’t so much carelessness, maybe this could have been prevented.

Today I read Chapter 1 of the book that my teacher assigned to me. It took me forever because most of my classmates were messing around and being too distracting. Besides, I kept searching for songs on YouTube for me to work on DJing with. I plan to upload said songs next class. (Mr. Yap, if you’re reading this then I want to inform you that the whole thing you posted on November 08 with the Spotify thingy, I couldn’t accomplish the last step. To continue, I needed to receive a code from my Email within, at the most, 30 minutes. However, I never received said code so I couldn’t continue with it.).

Plus, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing. Am I supposed to make a new playlist to DJ with? Is that what you want me to do?

I tried to do everything but I got very stuck on the Spotify part that I thought I wouldn’t finish in time. It was so confused during the whole trying to figure out what to do. Even with minutes left for class to end I couldn’t finish the Spotify thingy. Plus, I was in YouTube just picking songs for me to DJ. Is that what I’m supposed to be doing? Create a new playlist to DJ? What are we going to do now?

Today I worked on creating my website, sending a link for WordPress, and trying to figure out a way to post the songs on the new website I created.

Today I checked some stuff in Google Classroom. I also practiced doing transitions of a list of songs that I was give so I could perform it.

Today I worked on downloading some instrumentals of some of my songs on the computer so I could DJ with them and it took the whole period to do so.

Today, I practiced a bit with my DJ. However, turns out I need some of instrumentals, so I spent the rest of the period waiting to find a way to find instrumentals. In the end, I’m going to gain the instrumentals when I get home.

Since the teacher was absent again, all I did was watch the video on Google Classroom and work on other school work. This was also due to not having a DJ control on my computer. Hopefully the teacher will come back soon so I can practice and maybe even perform already.

I wish I could have advanced on stuff in class but I couldn’t. BandLab was all funky, I couldn’t DJ in front of the class, and I didn’t even have a DJ booth to practice. I was only able to do the assignment on Google Classroom.

I admit, today I spaced out in class. I tried to practice for DJing in front of the class but it was getting a bit repetitive for a while so I went on my phone a bit. Still, I hope I’m ready to perform in front of the class on Monday.
